Welcome

Melbourne is a city with food at its very heart. From the earliest days of selling fresh seafood, hot pies and locally grown produce from street side carts to the establishment of Chinatown in the 1860's. Over the following 150+ years of migration, the city gained suburbs dedicated to Italian, Greek, Jewish, Vietnamese and Lebanese food.

This rich history of fantastic food is clearly evident in modern Melbourne today. A vibrant and ever changing landscape of new and exciting food destinations is on offer from food-filled city laneways to suburban shopping destinations. Melbourne Food Tours and Melbourne Cooking Classes has been created by food writer and chef Allan Campion to bring you the very best this terrific food obsessed city has to offer.

The Melbourne Food Tours program offers a wide selection of walking tours and bus tours which guide you to the best restaurants, food stores, fresh produce markets, food stores, markets, bakeries, coffee houses, chocolate stores and much more. Tours are also terrific for visiting tour groups, seminars, school groups and food-loving friends. These are particularly popular with companies looking for a staff day out or corporate entertainment too.

Don't miss the new tours just announced - The Great Melbourne Restaurant Walk, walking tours to multicultural Footscray and Foodies' Walking Tour - The Big Day Out. Tours range from $99.00 per person to $149.00 per person.
